Recent reviews on the dashboard

The Recent reviews panel sits below the Trials overview and before attribution. When Trials is hidden, reviews keep their position before attribution. The panel shows the five latest collected reviews for the selected App, Partner-account aggregate, or organization aggregate, newest review date first. The financial date range and billing-provider selector do not filter reviews.

The compact table shows the App icon, public reviewer name, stars, review date, and a one-line excerpt. On mobile, compact stacked rows show the same details, including the App name, without horizontal scrolling. Select a truncated excerpt to expand or collapse its full text. The external-link icon opens the review in the App Store. Hover an App icon to see its name or a short date to see its year. A confidently matched reviewer links to their merchant profile. Unmatched reviewers retain their public name and App Store link. Standalone Stripe Apps without a Shopify review source do not show the panel.

Reviews in the merchant directory

Choose View all in Merchants, or select Reviews inside Merchants. The dashboard link carries only the selected App or aggregate. This preset shows only accepted review matches that resolve to a merchant in that selection, so some dashboard reviews will not appear in the directory. Ambiguous, unmatched, and unevaluated reviews cannot be included by changing filters.

The columns are Merchant, App, Rating, Review date, Review text, Country, and Time using app. Country and Time using app are the values collected from the public review, rather than a calculation from billing data. Use the merchant profile link to inspect the relationship or the App Store link to see the review.

Search merchant names and domains, public reviewer names, review text, and App names. Filter by App or aggregate, review date, rating, country, or listing status. Dates are inclusive UTC calendar dates and apply to the review date. The ordinary Merchants view continues to use the merchant's first-seen date.

By default, reviews include all dates (including reviews before 2018), all ratings, and all listing states, ordered newest first with 50 rows per page. Choose 20, 50, or 100 rows. Filters, sort order, view, and pagination are in the URL; changing a filter starts at the first page. Each directory view remembers its own visible columns in the browser. Returning from a merchant profile keeps the originating directory URL.

There is at most one review per merchant and App. A merchant can review different Apps, so aggregates may contain several rows for that merchant. Edits replace the collected observation for the same review ID. If retained records resolve to the same merchant and App, the currently listed review wins, followed by the most recently observed record and then a stable review-ID tie-breaker. Public reviewer names are never used to deduplicate records.

Collection and freshness

Reviews come from the existing App Store review monitor's cached, App-scoped snapshots. They load independently of dashboard metrics; refreshing revenue data is not required to see newly collected reviews. The collection timestamp is the monitor's last successful poll, not the time a dashboard or snapshot file changed.

The directory indicates when the initial collection or catch-up is incomplete, or when a source is unavailable, and shows collection timestamps. The compact dashboard table omits this supporting text. Successfully collected sources stay visible during partial failures. An empty result while collection is incomplete does not mean the App has no reviews. A missing App Store URL must be configured in App settings before reviews can be collected.

Reviews removed from the public listing are retained and labeled No longer listed. Listing state reflects the most recent completed presence scan; it may lag behind Shopify. A restored review loses that label when observed again. Previously collected data remains visible if collection fails or is disabled.
